🛒 Shop Smarter with Per
One of the first apps I ever published to the App Store is Per, a price-comparison app that helps you make better decisions at the supermarket. Beyond simple price-per-unit comparison, it features some nice little utilities, including an inline calculator and unit conversion. Best of all, it's free to download.
The thing is, I hadn't worked on Per in about... seven years. I'd started working on a full rewrite and redesign for v2.0, but Apple pulled the app from the App Store due to a lack of updates, so I halted work on the redesign (which is still in the research and ideation phase) and got to work on v1.3 — basically the same look, but completely rewritten in modern SwiftUI. It's faster, more reliable, and is better set up to support future development, too.
About that: the app is still free, and all existing features will remain free going forward. I've added a tip jar to the app, and it'll bug you once in a while to leave a tip. In the future, I might add little bonuses to people that have left a tip, or make some features available under a "Per Plus" one-time purchase.

💭 Thought Detox Supports Worlds Mental Health Day
To support World Mental Health Day, I'm making Thought Detox free on Monday, October 10th.
I created Thought Detox as a way to work through and release your negative thoughts. Between the pandemic, wars, political unrest, and record inflation corporate profiteering, it's hard to find peace. The web version has always been free, and while I've run 'sale pricing' on the app in the past, it's the first time I'm going to make the iPhone app, with all its advance features, a no-charge download from the App Store.
